DIGITAL STRATEGIST (REMOTE)

About the Position

Digital strategists exhibit a deep understanding of digital marketing strategy, effectively manage time, workloads, and client deliverables, and follow agency processes. In this fully remote role, you are trusted with the day-to-day client contact and management of agency relationships as well as producing high-quality video, social media, and content deliverables.

Digital strategists are analytical and social-media savvy, possess advanced writing and communication skills, and demonstrate a can-do attitude when faced with new challenges.

This role entails occasional weekend community management work (2 hours/day on average) with flexible weekday hours to compensate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and edit short-form videos for social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Contribute to social media strategy, identifying timely trends and providing analytics-based recommendations for client content.
  • Monitor clients’ social media community across platforms, engaging with followers, responding to comments, and escalating any conflicts.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports based on Google Analytics, social media performance, social media ads, Google Ads, and HubSpot performance, providing clients with real-time recommendations based on trends and data.
  • Execute marketing tactics—in the areas of brand marketing, website development, search marketing, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, video production, and public relations—that support client objectives.
  • Develop strategic marketing plans that align with client needs and goals.
  • Write, edit and proofread written materials for quality and adherence to appropriate writing style. Written materials may include blog posts, long-form premium content (ebooks, whitepapers), website copy, social media posts, emails, and press releases.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of clients and their industries and play a meaningful role in the retention and growth of accounts.
  • Build relationships with clients; serve as a resource and advisor to client contacts.
  • Effectively manage workloads, account team members, and timelines when assigned as the account or campaign lead. Consistently deliver high-quality work to clients on time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a related area of study (e.g. communications, journalism, marketing, business, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years' experience in B2C social media strategy and B2C content creation, with a special focus on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Hands-on experience creating and editing short-form videos for social media.
  • Hands-on experience in social media reporting, with a focus on monitoring, measuring, and making real-time recommendations based on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook analytics.
  • Experience in community management, including responding to and engaging with followers on social media platforms.
  • Experience creating and delivering polished presentations on data-driven recommendations to clients and/or C-level staff.
  • Exceptional time management, project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Strong research, writing (technical and creative), and editing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience creating, promoting and evaluating digital content campaigns (content offers, landing pages, email nurturing campaigns, etc.) to drive website traffic and MQLs.
  • Strategic thinker who brings innovative ideas, approaches problem solving in a systematic way, uses data to gather intelligence and set strategies, and displays confidence in client and agency communications.
  • A strong presence and uplifting energy that positively affects and inspires others. Excels at building and nurturing relationships.
  • Reliable, detailed, focused, and proficient in time management and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

Priority will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria in addition to the requirements above:

  • One or more years of experience working with HubSpot marketing automation software (or related platform, e.g. Pardot, Act-On). Inbound Marketing certification and HubSpot product certifications a plus.
  • Experience editing videos and graphics in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Google certifications, including Google Analytics 4.
  • Experience in B2B marketing in addition to B2C marketing.
  • Experience creating visual assets including presentations, social media graphics, and interactive design components.
  • Experience within an agency setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
